The Kikino Silver Birch Rodeo & Celebration Days is entering its 25th year as a major rodeo event in the amateur circuit. Held every 3rd weekend in August, this event is not to be missed by competitors and fans alike. An action packed weekend has pony chariot and chuckwagon races adding to the excitement on Thursday, 4 pm and Friday and Saturday at 6 pm. Each night has a special attraction: Thursday, Metis Bulletin Race; Friday, Stock Horse Race; Saturday, Metis Suicide Horse Race; Sunday, Open Horse Race.
Gates are open at noon and the Rodeo starts at 1:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a Parade on Saturday, August 16th at 10:30 am at the Kikino town site followed by a Talent Show (Saturday & Sunday) at 2 pm. A Jamboree on Friday and Saturday evening, quarter bingo, kids activities, and a daily steak supper round out the weekend. Admission fee is $12/adult, $7/senior or child, and 6 and under free. Fireworks display will be at 10:00 pm on Sunday, August 17 at the Day Beach. Admission is $5/vehicle.
